    Argentina beat Canada 3-2 in Pool C of the 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League at La Matanza in Buenos Aires on Saturday (27th June).

    Argentina and Canada met for the second successive night in Pool C of the 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League at La Matanza in Buenos Aires on Saturday (27th June). 

    Twenty four hours earlier Argentina beat their visitors three sets to one in one hour 42 minutes. 

    The hosts won the opening set on Friday (26th June), but it was Canada who struck first by winning the first set 25-23 in half an hour.

    It only took 23 minutes for Argentina to get back on level terms, when Luciano Zornetta's spike earned the hosts the second set by 25 points to 15. 

    The Canadians went 2-1 ahead with a strong display in the third set, winning it 25-21 with 93 minutes gone. 

    The fourth set was close with the lead changing hands several times.

    Canada led for most of the 35-minute set and had a match point, but it was Argentina who prevailed 27-25 after two hours 13 minutes. 

    Argentina dominated the deciding set, moving out to 8-2 at one point. 

    They moved out to 13-6 and not long afterwards, they had match point. 

    Jose Luis Gonzalez blocked Steven Marshall and Argentina won the fifth set 15-6 for a 3-2 victory to leave matters in Pool C still open.
