    Script:

Brazil recorded a comprehensive win over Australia in Sydney to extend their lead at the top of Pool A in the Volleyball World League.

The South Americans won in straight sets, 25-22, 25-20, 25-15 to move seven points clear of second-placed Serbia.

There wasn't much between the two sides in the first two sets, which Brazil narrowly edged courtesy of Ricardo Lucarelli Santos De Souza and some fine blocking from Lucas Saatkamp and Leandro Vissotto Neves.

Lucarelli hit 15 points for Brazil en route to victory.

With the momentum in Brazil's favour, the third set was wrapped up with minimum fuss.

Next up for Brazil is a clash against Italy on Thursday (2 July) while Australia face Serbia on Saturday (4 July).
