    Tyson Gay secured a spot at the World Championships in Beijing with 100m success in the US Track and Field Championship. It will be his first worlds since 2009.

    No doubt about the star attraction at the US Track and Field Championships in Oregan. Tyson Gay racing for a place at the World Championships in Beijing. The 32-year-old crossed the line first in 9.87 seconds and so he will be going to China. Where he will race against Justin Gatlin who qualified because of his Diamond League performances and Usain Bolt who said Gay should have been banned for life when he was given a year long ban for doping in 2014. Second and third placeTrayvon Bromell and Michael Rodgers also did enough for a place at the worlds.

    In the women's 100, Tori Bowie used a late surge to sneak by English Gardner, taking the crown in 10.81 seconds, Jasmine Todd was third.
    Erik Kynard won the men's high jump with a leap of 2.37 metres

    Christina Epps won the women's triple jump, while the women's javelin title was taken by Kara Winger.

    Winger's first throw of 64.94metres proved to be the winner.
