This is the moment Denis Istomin won his first ATP title.

A straight sets defeat of Sam Querrey was enough to lift the Nottingham Open trophy; the perfect preparation before Wimbledon next week.

Neither player would secure a break of serve in the first set, which Istomin captured in a tie-break.

The world number 92 carried his momentum into the second; breaking Querrey in the fourth game with this backhand winner down the line.

But the 12th seed wouldn't go down without a fight and went on to break his opponent twice before saving a match point to force a tie-break.

Istomin prevailed though, converting on his third match point, to win the title:

Wimbledon beckons for both players, which starts on Monday.
