SHOCK: Kaymer misses cut at BMW International

Saturday, June 27 2015 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Spain's Rafa Cabrera-Bello leads by a stroke as two-time major winner Martin Kaymer misses the cut at the BMW International Open in Munich.

    Script:

It's not been a good week for Martin Kaymer, on the verge of missing the cut he did this on the 18th in his second round at the BMW International. Not a great time to find the water.

This putt could have saved him... but his tournament ends early in Munich.

One of the other pre-tournament favourites is just about keeping in contention, this was one of few good moments for Henrik Stenson who shot 71 to go 13th on the leaderboard.

Joint overnight leader Lasse Jensen didn't have quite the same success he had on day one, a 69 leaves him in third.

He's joined there by Northern Ireland's Michael Hoey who had the best round of the day, a seven under 65.

Ahead of those two is James Morrison, a bogie on the 14th will be his only regret as he goes into the final two rounds on eleven under.

Leading the way is last year's runner up Rafa Cabrera-Bello, thanks in no small part to this chip for birdie on the last. He is one shot clear of the rest.
