Intro:
Daily update from European Games organising committee (BEGOC) in Baku on Wednesday.
Script:SOUNDBITE: (English) Simon Clegg, Chief Operating Officer, Baku 2015 European Games Operation Committee:
"We should never forget that this is the inaugural Games and I keep saying this. This is not an established event and quite frankly the level of media attention that we are getting is much greater than we thought it would be. There is some really positive coverage of the sports competitions that are being portrayed all over the world and, of course, very positive images through that of Azerbaijan that are being portrayed all over the world. Of course there is room for improvement but I have to say the level of coverage that we are getting far exceeds that which we were expecting."SOUNDBITE: (English) Simon Clegg, Chief Operating Officer, Baku 2015 European Games Operation Committee:
"As I said at the press conference yesterday, we have contingency plans that we have for a number of different scenarios here, including extremely high winds and what impact that might have - but at this moment in time, as I said to you, we are still in a monitoring phase. I think we have still got a bit of time until the BMX competition and at this particular moment in time I have in concerns about the competition."SOUNDBITE: (English) Simon Clegg, Chief Operating Officer, Baku 2015 European Games Operation Committee:
"You are not going to get any details and the closing ceremony, I can assure you, continues to be a big secret but if you want an exclusive today I can promise you that I am not singing."
