Script:SOUNDBITE: (English) Francois Pienaar, captain of the 1995 World Cup Team:
(On Joost van der Westhuizen suffering motor neurone disease).
"I am very emotional and sad also, because sad that Joost is in the state that his in and incredible athlete and this disease just swallowed his body."SOUNDBITE: (English) Francois Pienaar, captain of the 1995 World Cup Team:
"They have to find their own core, their own style. We were amateurs and it took us to in the World Cup. Did we regret that - never, so to compare that I think its disingenuous, every team has its special mojo as 2007 did under John and again the nucleus of their team cam from a successful Blue Bulls outfit and a Sharks outfit so where our nucleus is going to come from this year would be a question. If there's no nucleus how would the leadership react to that and the culture in that team is very important. We had a culture that worked harder than anybody else."SOUNDBITE: (English) Francois Pienaar, captain of the 1995 World Cup Team:
"Receiving a trophy from Mr Nelson Mandela was incredibly special, I mean I remember his face and how proud he was and he said to me when he handed me a trophy that picture of his hand on my shoulder and his words were just for me were humbling, he said to me thanks Francois for what you have done for South Africa and I could not believe he said that, and I said no Mr Mandela thank you for what you have done for South Africa, that's the only words we spoke."SOUNDBITE: (English) Kobus Wiese, Lock for 1995 Springboks World Cup team:
"We made that pledge between the brothers you see here today that we sacrifice so much and to have it here, the best stadium in the world against the old enemy on such a beautiful day in our nation history, but we had no choice but to win."
