"I think and I am sure that with professional planning of the whole process of snowmaking system, and specially of making the water collectors, with other word, big lakes, where the water can be collected already during spring, summer and autumn time. This Olympic Games can be done very successfully.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mojca Ogris Schimberg, Deputy General Manager of DemacLenko snowmaking company:

"If we take the alpine course, the downhill course which is normally the longest one, I will say, in the climate which you have here in Beijing, in the region where the competition will be held, you need approximately 50 centimetres of snow, let me say about 30-40 metres wide. And due to your good climate, during the winter time, you have no melting factor. I will say there are other resorts which melting factor has to be as well implemented, which means much more snow to be calculated, to be produced. But this is one of the advantages I would say here, as you have dry climate and you have cold climate."
