Great Britain win silver at European Games

    Gold medals were awarded in Table Tennis, Gymnastics, Diving and Shooting in late action on the eighth day of competition at the inaugural European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan on Friday (19th June).

    Great Britain has walked away with it's third medal in diving at the European Games.

    James Heatly and Ross Haslam won a silver medal in the men's 3 metre synchro.

    Russia's Ilia Molchanov and Nikita Nikolaev beat the Brit pair to the top spot, managing to win themselves a gold with a total of 324.69.

    Russia also managed to dominate on the gymnastics floor,

    Marina Chernova and Georgy Pataraya (Russia) won the gold.

    The duo performed three difficult exercises to finish on a points total of 89.310, more than three points ahead of the silver medallists from Belgium, Yana Vastavel and Solano Cassamajor.

    Great Britain's Hannah Baughn and Ryan Bartlett took the bronze with 85.160 points.

    So, Britain's medal table is totting up.
