Script:SOUNDBITE (English) Mark Anderson, Swimming Australia Chief Executive:
"We have been concerned about the length of time that it has taken for Swimming Australia and the athlete to be informed of this alleged offence from the 2013 World Championships. We've expressed our concern. Our priority now is to ensure that the case continues through its due processes and aligns to the policies and we are confident that that would do so with FINA's policies and practices. We'll work both with FINA and the athlete to ensure that it does comply to the satisfaction of all parties."
As a result of the notification, Kylie has announced that she is accepting a voluntary provisional suspension. As a result of that suspension Kylie won't be training, competing at the upcoming Grand Prix event in Townsville. Kylie will not be participating in the upcoming FINA World Championships in Kazan in August."
"She was handling it as well as possible. We're very aware it's going to be a tough process for Kylie as she works through it with her family and friends and we'll do whatever we can to support her through the process."
