Murray makes winning start at Queen's

  • Intro:

Top seed Andy Murray and fifth seed Marin Cilic were first round winners at the Aegon Championships at Queen's Club on Tuesday.

    Script:

Andy Murray's grasscourt campaign is underway but he was pushed hard at Queen's by Lu Yen-hsun. The qualifier from Taiwan broke Murray in the fifth game of the first set, the number one seed his back to take that 6-4 and he would have to work hard in the second set too.

He won that one 7-5 to safely go through, unlike Rafael Nadal who is out after losing to Alexandr Dolgopolov, he's not too downbeat though...

SOUNDBITE: (English) Rafael Nadal, lost to Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-4:

"The good thing is I am positive mentally, I feel myself playing well and I hope to have some more good days of practice here and then some good rest at home and I am going to come back strong with a good week of practice before Wimbledon. And I hope to be one hundred per cent ready to play at Wimbledon, it is a good motivation for me today and I am going to try my best."
Elsewhere number five seed Marin Cilic was taken to three sets by Adrian Mannarino but the Croatian was dominant in the decider to reach round two.
