  • Intro:

Nobody was skimping on practice on Tuesday (June 16) at Chambers Bay - with players still concerned about scoring at the youngest course for many years to host the US Open.

    Script:

The players got their second look at Chambers Bay golf club at Tuesday's practice round. The course will play host to the 2015 US Open.

Tiger Woods will be hoping to improve on his last tournament which saw him shoot his worst ever professional round in golf.

The former World No 1 made the cut at the Memorial, however shot a third round +13 over 85 to eventually finish in last place for the weekend.

Phil Mickelson has not won a title since 2013 - but tied for second at the Masters in April & looked in good touch around the greens last week.

Mickleson is aiming to become only the sixth player to complete golf's Grand Slam this week.

Jordan Spieth was the winner at Augusta - and is closing in on Rory McIlroy at the top of the world standings while chasing back-to-back majors.

Jason Day's preparations have been disrupted by illness and injury.

The Australian may not fancy negotiating one of the longest courses around, at nearly eight-thousand yards.

The US Open from the north-west coast of America gets underway on the Thursday morning.
