Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska suffered a shock defeat in her Nottingham Open semi-final against unseeded Monica Niculescu.

There were five breaks in the first set but Niculescu lost her serve for a third time to put the former Wimbledon finalist in front.

The rollercoaster continued into the second when Radwanska was broken early on before her Romanian opponent levelled the match.

The Pole's serve let her down again in the third when she was broken in the first game.

Niculescu then stormed to a 5-7 6-4 6-0 victory, belying her world number 61 ranking.

Either Alison Riske or Ana Konjuh await in the final later on Sunday but their semi-final has been heavily delayed by rain.
