    SOUNDBITE: (English) Jolanda Neff, Switzerland:

"Yeah, it has only been a short time. It was only yesterday but yeah it was an amazing race. It was an amazing event because we were the first ever medal event, the women's cross-country mountain bike race at the first ever European Games so it was pretty amazing already and to win the gold was a great day."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Jolanda Neff, Switzerland:

"Yeah I am going to keep it for sure yeah. It is all so special to have a medal. I have never been at Games, Olympic Games or anything else like this before. So for sure it is a special memory and for sure, I will keep the medal. Yes."

    SOUNDBITE: (English) Jolanda Neff, Switzerland:

"Yeah it was very windy and the conditions were quite difficult because that is what we are not used to and so until half of the race we stayed together, a group of eight girls. Then, in the third lap, I attacked and could make a gap, which got bigger and nigger so I could take the win and I was really really happy that my teammate Kathrin she took silver and my other very good friend from Poland, Maja, she took the bronze medal and my other team mate Linda she finished in fifth place. So, it was a great day for us and a great start for Switzerland. Yes, it was perfect."
