Jolanda Neff wrote her name into the European Games history books on Saturday, becoming the first athlete to win a gold medal at the inaugural event in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Switzerland's Neff blew away the competition in the women's cross-country mountain biking, crossing the finishing line in one hour, 31 minutes and five seconds.
Her compatriot Kathrin Stirnemann took second place, two minutes and three seconds off the winning pace, while Poland's Maja Wloszczowska collected the bronze medal.
