  • Intro:

USA came from behind to beat Poland 3-2 in the men's volleyball World League in Chicago on Friday (12th June).

    Script:

The United States welcomed Poland to Chicago in Group B of the volleyball World League.

Both team had a faultless start to the group - winning each of their opening three games.

However David Lee, with the cardinal sin of serving a fault at set point, gave the Poles the opener.

The States responded with a telling spike from Murphy Troy to level up the sets.

Poland wrapped up the third set 25-19, before both David Lee and Matthew Anderson's combined blocks won the fourth set for the Americans to make it two-apiece.

The deciding set - a first to 15 game - was rounded off by the States 15-9 as America now top Group B from Poland in second.

The two teams meet again in Chicago on Sunday.
