Usain Bolt clocked 20.29 seconds to win the 200m at the New York Diamond League meeting.

The 100m and 200m world record holder edged out 19-year-old training partner Zharnel Hughes of Anguilla and fellow Jamaican Julian Forte.

Bolt ran a conservative bend but was too powerful for his rivals in the home straight.

David Rudisha prevailed in the 800m, recording a time of 1:43.58 seconds. It marked a winning return for the Kenyan, who pulled a leg muscle in Ostrava which kept him out of the Birmingham Diamond League.

In the men's 100m, American Tyson Gay pipped Keston Bledman in a time of 10.12 seconds with Nesta Carter third.

Britain's Tiffany Porter came second in the 100m hurdles in a time of 12.81 seconds, 0.16 seconds behind American Sharika Nelvis.
