Usain Bolt made an appearance for his sponsor Puma on Thursday (11th June) and took a moment to talk to SNTV about this weekend's adidas Grand Prix.

    SOUNDBITE (English): Usain Bolt:

"New York is one of those places that most Jamaicans are so every time I get a chance to come here I will - it's just that over the years I've just been injured most of the time and not in great shape to come here but I'm in good shape now so I get a chance to run here so I'm happy to be back."

    SOUNDBITE (English): Usain Bolt:

"For me, 200 (metres) is my favourite event. I enjoy running 200 metres, something I look forward to running ever time. I think I do the 100 mostly for the fans - they really enjoy seeing me compete and running fast time in the 100 metres so for me I do that for the fans and 200 is for me so it works out."

    SOUNDBITE (English): Usain Bolt:

"When it comes to Tyson (Gay) and Justin (Gatlin), these guys are great competitors and they made me want to work and do my best. It's good for the sport, the competitions so, for me, I just do my part and work hard and try to stay focused on what I need to get done leading up to the World Championships."

SOUNDBITE (English): Usain Bolt, on his schedule:

"I think I space my races out because when we compete, when I compete my coach can watch my tapes and say 'Alright, this is what we need to work on. Work on this, we need to try to improve this.' So this, we work on things leading up to the championships so for me I don't really stress too much because I know my coach always has a plan and I'm feeling better every day in training so it's all about just getting more competition under my belt and running more and I'll be fine."

SOUNDBITE (English): Usain Bolt, on what motivations he has:

"It's definitely, for me, competition is one and I have different goals that I want to set for myself - I want to set the bar high for the next person that comes along. That's why I want to go to the next Olympics and repeat by winning the triple again. And I'm trying, I really want to run sub-19 (seconds in the 200m), which is one of my biggest goals and it's going to be hard but it's something that I really want to do before I retire so I have two seasons to try to do that so that's my focus."
