  • Intro:

New Zealand, Kane Williamson, second ODI against England.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English) Kane Williamson, New Zealand captain (On Matt Prior)

"Certainly a world class performer for England over a long period of time and also an exciting player. Very good keeper who looked to attack and take (the game) to the opposition. A fantastic career and he will be missed. I am sure there will be many more opportunities ahead for him."

SOUNDBITE (English) Kane Williamson, New Zealand captain

"England played outstanding. To come out and get 400 on any surface - although it was a very good batting surface - is a great effort and they have got a lot of world class players and some new exciting, talented players that come out and play aggressively. It all certainly came together and they played very well so full credit to England. From our perspective, we want to continue to play our aggressive brand and it doesn't work every day and we certainly weren't at our best so we want to touch on a few things and try and improve on that for the next one."

SOUNDBITE (English) Kane Williamson, New Zealand captain

"I suppose, to a degree, there can be some inconsistencies in an aggressive style of play but it's a very enjoyable style of play and it's one that pushes yourself and pushes your team and pushes those boundaries to see how good you can be and England certainly did that in the last match and we've been trying to do that for some time and we have been playing some good one day cricket so will want that to continue and improving."
