Small group of Tibetan protesters disrupt a presentation of Beijing's bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (Tibetan) Golog Jigme, Monk and torture victim:

"The Olympics in 2008 were given to China with a clear promise that human rights must be improved. Now I stand here, in front of a you, as an example showing that this promise was broken. I had to leave my homeland after I was tortured, together with many other Tibetans who have also suffered from torture since 2008. Our monasteries were looted by Chinese authorities so if the IOC grants the 2022 Winter Olympic Games to China you can be sure that similar events will happen in Tibet. I demand from the IOC President, Mr. Bach, that he take full responsibility if these human right abuses occur in 2022."
