SOUNDBITE: (English) Andrey Kryukov, Vice Chairman of the Almaty 2022 Bid Committee:

"We don't jump to the future. We consistently step-by-step, go forward. We host 2011 Asian Games, we host plenty of events, winter sports events. Don't forget Almaty is a winter sports city, it's created by nature, our geographical location confirmed that and what we showed today it definitely was a clear answer. We're created for winter sports. And enough experience, we will receive in 2017 when in Almaty will be University Games."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Andrey Kryukov, Vice Chairman of the Almaty 2022 Bid Committee:

"We can say we respect the Olympic Charter. By the new procedure the article that includes the human rights issues, it includes to the host city contract. Any host city which will sign (a) contract will sign under this. About specific measures I can tell you, we are a new country, we work very hard to be better from day-by-day and you have the possibility to see. For us today (it is a) big honour to stay on this stage in front of you and in front of the IOC members. That's why 15 years ago maybe nobody can imagine this, but we are here today."
