Clarke proud of team after Australia thrash West Indies

Reaction following Australia's 9-wicket win in the first Test against West Indies at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica.

SOUNDBITE (English) Michael Clarke, Australia captain:

"I think we played really well as a team, to be honest, in conditions which are certainly opposite to what you're accustomed to in Australia. I think we bowled really well in our first innings, found a way to get a good lead and I thought we fought really hard throughout today, on a wicket which as I say was extremely slow, there wasn't much there for our bowlers, but to be able to take 20 wickets is credit to the way they fought, so... Look, I've always been a big believer in I don't care who takes the wickets, I don't care who makes the runs, it's about getting it done and I think we did that as a team."

SOUNDBITE (English) Michael Clarke, Australia captain:

"I think winning the first Test in a series is important. How long it took was irrelevant. If we had to come back tomorrow or it took five days, then so be it. Obviously now, two days extra to recover helps the bowlers particularly to freshen up before Jamaica, but I only care that we won on the last ball of the day on day five. It was about doing whatever we could to win this Test match and I think the boys certainly did that."
