Warriors 'lucky' despite Finals lead - Kerr/Curry

  • Intro:

The Golden State Warriors look ahead on Saturday (6 June) to Game 2 of the NBA Finals which takes place in Oakland, California on Sunday (7 June).

    Script:

"There is no way that can possibly happen, right? I mean, we're lucky to be up 1-0. We're one inch away from being down 1-0. (Iman) Shumpert's shot looked like it was in the whole way. We made a ton of mistakes in Game 1. This is a team that got to the finals beating the number one seed in the east without Kyrie (Irving) for a couple games. The challenge is still enormous. There's still so much for us to cover and deal with. So, yeah, I mean, there's not any threat of anything like that."

"The mood in our locker room has been the same. It feels the same today as it did yesterday and before Game 1. We know that being in the finals is a huge accomplishment, but we've got to leave it all out there to get four more wins, and it's going to be tough regardless of who is out there on Cleveland's roster. Because, they're a great team and that's why they're here, so. There is no pressure or added pressure, I don't think, because our goal stays the same. And we're not really listening to any outside noise or predictions or who is favoured to do what because we control what we control. When we go out there and play, we've got to play better than we did in Game 1. And that is really our only focus is to come out, win game two, and go from there."
