  • Intro:

Reaction after Joel Quenneville's Chicago Blackhawks score twice in the final 10 minutes of regulation to overcome a 1-0 deficit and take the first game of the NHL Stanley Cup final from Jon Cooper's Tampa Bay Lightning.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Joel Quenneville, Chicago Blackhawks

"Yeah I thought, we got better as the game went on. I thought our second period improved after the first (period). We had a real slow start in the third (period). We had a lot of zone time, we had some threats off the rush as well. And obviously a huge goal through traffic and a nice shot by Vermey (Antoine Vermette). And it turned out to be a great third period."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jon Cooper, Tampa Bay Lightning

"I thought we had chances to put them away. We didn't put them away and once you do that, to me, that was letting them hang around. And ultimately in the end, (Teuvo) Teravainen's is a seeing eye single on that one and that goal had eyes. Give them credit, I think we could have got that puck out, we didn't. And then we turn pucks over on that second one. But I thought, I thought we hung in there and we just, we got, sometimes you got to get more than one. And if you're going to give up two in a game, you should have a chance at least to win that game. We didn't tonight."
