(Q. It was tough conditions of play today. How much was it about holding your nerve on this court and dealing with the wind and dealing with your level of game? )

"I was trying to move my feet faster and to adjust really fast, you know, to react on the wind, because it was changing all the time. It was not going one way. It was like going side to side, forward and back. It was really tough. But I'm really happy that I could win first set and then second to finish, two sets."

SOUNDBITE (English) Ana Ivanovic, defeated Ekaterina Makarova 7-5, 3-6, 6-1:

(Q. You're in the quarter-finals for the first time since you won the tournament. How does it feel to be back in this place?)

"Amazing, really. To be honest, coming into the tournament I didn't really, you know, expect that at all. But I really worked hard for each match. I worked hard even before the tournament to reach the quarter-final again here. It feels amazing. Yeah, very proud the way I played in the third set."
