SOUNDBITE (English) Kei Nishikori, defeated Teymuraz Gabashvili 6-3, 6-4, 6-2:
(Q. A big achievement for you to reach the quarterfinals. Just talk about that from your perspective and was that something you expected this week?)
"To come in to the quarter-final that's the first goal for this week, I mean, these two weeks. I knew I can do this because, you know, I was doing well this clay-court season, it started last year. I mean, I hope it's just the start of my journey, and I hope I can keep going. This is first time to be (in the) quarter-final at the French Open, so it means a lot for me."
SOUNDBITE (English) Tomas Berdych, lost to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 3-6, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 3-6:
(Q. You were close to turning this around, but it doesn't look like you were feeling comfortable at all on the court today.)
"Definitely I was way far from my best tennis that I can play, and it's definitely a very disappointing loss for me. It's not the time that I want to go home from this event.
SOUNDBITE (English) Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, defeated Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3:
(Q. Could you tell us your impression of Kei Nishikori and how you should play against him?)
"He's a very good player. He's younger than me. He's got a lot of talent. He's able to do many things on court. I had a problem to play against him in the past, so for me it's going be the opportunity, you know, to take revenge and try to, again, to play my best tennis and try to reach the semis."
