    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English) Ana Ivanovic, defeated Donna Vekic 6-0, 6-3:

    (Q. Let's start by saying that was a pretty solid performance today. It must feel good to be in the locker room again after an hour instead of after nearly two hours.)

"After first two matches, I really started to get a little bit of feeling and groove, and yesterday I had easy day. Today I really had strict game plan. I had an idea what I wanted to do, and obviously confidence from first two matches helped me in today's performance, too. I really knew I was working hard for few weeks now, and I spoke about it even last few weeks. You know, when you know you are working the right direction, it always gets results. Today I did some things better than I did in my first two matches, which I was happy about."

    SOUNDBITE (English) Richard Gasquet, defeated Carlos Berlocq 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1:
    (Q. Do you feel as though this is a year when the French can really push through? Alize just won, and it's been a successful tournament for the men especially, too. )

"So, yeah, it's very good for French tennis. I hope we can go farther in the tournament. Of course, best player coming on the draw. Everybody is playing a seeded player now. I think Benoit Paire tonight and many guys are playing the best players in the world now. So we see what happen. It's a good start for us. But I think we can go farther in the draw."

    SOUNDBITE (French) Richard Gasquet, defeated Carlos Berlocq 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1:
    (Q. You have played at Roland Garros for more than 10 years, ranking quite well. What are there things that you have really improved the most?)

"That's what I am the most proud of: the fact I'm still around. I have a few seasons left to do even better, play even better, maybe I can take balls earlier, serve a little better. There is always room for progress. And what's also difficult is to come back after you have had an injury or you're going through more difficult times. That's really challenging, coming back. Because there are tough times."
