    Script:

Seventh seed Ana Ivanovic became the first player to make it through to the second week of the French Open, storming through her Friday morning third-round clash against Croatian teenager Donna Vekic.

Ivanovic took just 23 minutes to claim the first set, and went on to close out the match 6-0, 6-3 in less than an hour.

She is through to face ninth seed Ekaterina Makarova.

France's Richard Gasquet finally came through against Carlos Berlocq on Friday to win his place in the third round.

Gasquet needed a second day to complete the match winning in five sets.

The Frenchman whistled through the deciding set to win it by six games to one, and will take on 15th seed Kevin Anderson.

Roger Federer enjoyed an easy passage into the fourth round as he overcame Bosnia's Damir Dzumhur, ranked 88th in the world, in straight sets.

The second seed, is through to the fourth round for the eleventh successive year.

Federer will likely face home favourite Gael Monfils for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Australia's World No22, Sam Stosur went into her third round match against Maria Sharapova with just two victories from their previous 16 meetings.

The pair had played out countless three set battles, yet this was an easier affair for the Russian who won 6-3, 6-4.

The 2014 Champion now plays Lucie Safarova in the fourth round.
