"Sepp (Blatter) was affected by what I said, I speak like a friend to him and we were together in '98 when he wanted me as President of FIFA, and himself as General Secretary, when I said I don't know nothing about FIFA. He said, 'I stay as President, I need your help.' That means it's a long story with that. And I said, 'Sepp you have to leave.' He was very sensitive about that. I said, 'We are friends, practically its difficult at times to be friends but we will be friends after, and we have to shake the hand of peace.'"

"He said it's too late (to resign). He understood. He said it's too late because congress will be in summer rest. I know what his strategy is, his strategy is to bring all the congress to have some speakers in the room to convince the people, as usual, to vote for him and then in the end he will say, 'Look at the democracy, look at the numbers, they will say I have to stay and I will stay.' But I think he's already lost, FIFA's already lost. There is a number of votes and I think Europe can bring a lot of votes (to Prince Ali)."
