  • Intro:

Reaction after Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 41 runs in the first one-day international at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura

"I think it is a good wicket to bat on, but it's not excuse to say our bowlers shouldn't have bowled well. I thought that we started well but maybe the last twenty overs of our innings, when we were bowling, we bowled too many boundary balls. So something that we need to make sure that we correct. Our execution wasn't right. Like I said we gave too many boundaries, especially the last 20 overs."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura

"Yes, obviously, to score a hundred, make a hundred, I am pleased with my performance. Just have to make sure that carry on with this form that I am in into the next game and, hopefully, and the good thing about our team there are guys who are in form as well, so, hopefully, we can have those guys who are in form to carry the team through."
