SOUNDBITE (English) Andy Murray, defeated Facundo Arguello 6-3, 6-3, 6-1:
(Q. What impression did Facundo's game give you today?)
"I felt like when I was able to dictate the points, you know, and get, you know, some good depth into his backhand, then I was able to dictate a lot of the points. When he hit the first ball with his forehand, he was able to make me run and do a lot of moving. But, you know, he's a tough, tough player."
SOUNDBITE (English) Andy Murray, defeated Facundo Arguello 6-3, 6-3, 6-1:
(Q. How encouraging is it to have five Brits contesting the first round of a Grand Slam and properly contesting matches as well?)
"Yeah, it's obviously nice. More British players in the tournament the better. The last few years there has been lots of doubles guys around, which is nice. But the more players in the singles, it's obviously good."
SOUNDBITE (English) Sloane Stephens, defeated Venus Williams 7-6 (5), 6-1:
(Q. I think that was the first time that you had actually faced Venus in a match. How did it feel playing against Venus Williams?)
"I don't know. I didn't really know what to expect. I mean, obviously she's a great player and a great champion. I knew I was just going to have to get out there and do my best. Obviously I have never played her in a real match. So I didn't know if she was going to boss me off the court or like how that was going to go. But I knew if I just stayed in there and played my game that it would be a good match."
