  • Intro:

Postgame reaction after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 99-98 on Thursday, 21 May, to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference Finals.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English): Andrew Bogut, Golden State Warriors centre:

"I feel okay, I mean I'm getting a little better but hopefully it's just a three or four day thing and it's not an excuse, Dwight's (Howard, Houston centre) playing hurt, a lot of guys are playing hurt, so I've just got to suck it up and move on, but I've felt a little bit better and I had the IV a couple of nights ago, so I feel like I had a little bit more energy to move around."

SOUNDBITE (English): Andrew Bogut, Golden State Warriors centre:
(on watching Stephen Curry and James Harden go back and forth)

Sometimes I want to crack open a beer and get a court-side seat because these two guys are the two best basketball players in the world, and it seems Steph knocks down a big shot and then we've got to come down and try to stop James, and he knocks down a big shot, and unfortunately for me I trying to set screens for him (Curry), but a lot of times I get caught watching him just going crazy with the shots that he makes, so it's an honour to be his team mate."

SOUNDBITE (English): Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors guard:
    (on Bogut)

"He was huge. He's given us what he's got and that's what Bogut does, putting his body on the line, going against Dwight (Howard) for however many minutes and bailing us out, and certain drives to the basket and cleaning up the glass. And he was finishing on the (inaudible) as well. A huge impact on the game at both ends of the floor and I'm ready to see what a healthy Bogut looks like in a couple days."
