  • Intro:

France's Perrine Delacour took advantage of Alison Lee's late two-hole meltdown to take the third-round lead Saturday (16th May) in the Kingsmill Championship.

    Script:

The LGPA's Kingsmill Championship continued on Saturday in Williamsburg, Virginia.

American Alison Lee started the third round with a two-shot lead, and increased that with a birdie here at the 11th to move to 14-under par.

The 20-year-old - still a student at UCLA after turning pro in December - bogeyed 16 and a double at the 17th to slip to 10-under-par.

Lee's place at the top of the leaderboard was taken by Perrine Delacour.

The Frenchwoman has missed the cut at six of her seven LPGA events this season, but she found her rhythm here.

Delacour birdied three of her final five holes on Saturday, taking a single stroke lead at 11-under-par.

While Lee was left alone in second after 54 holes, Paula Creamer - with birdie here, Minjee Lee and So Yeon Ryu share third at nine under par.

Star of the women's game currently - Lydia Ko - carded a one-under 70 to sit for tied 20th going into the final day.

Even by her recent standards an eight shot swing seems unlikely in the final round here in Virginia.
