"Well I couldn't have asked them to play any better, after the woeful performance of last week. The frustration is of how we produced a performance last week and we produced today. But, the reason why we're in the bottom three is pretty evident for people to see today. We've played well enough. We've had five or six really glorious opportunities (to score), and at this level you've got to take the because, we can't expect to keep coming and getting ten or 12 chances against Tottenham. We've had enough, to score a goal, and then lies the problem with the frustration that we've been having, with, trying to score a goal, which is the hardest part of the job."

"Our big players have been missing too long. We can see what (Nikica) Jelavic brings to the team. We've been without him for six months. We've been without, (Mohamed) Diame for six months, we've been without (Michael) Dawson for, four-and-a-half months. Too often our big players, who we've paid big money for, (Robert) Snodgrass in particular, 22 minutes. A club like ours to pay eight-million for Snoddy and he gets injured. There is, lies the problem I've got."

"Well we've go to beat Man U and we haven't done that in 17 years, so I've got to turn the tables. So maybe there's a twist in it. Maybe Man U owe me something.... after wrecking my knee and my hip and my ankle! So you never know, and we've got to try and be positive, because the week has been, arguably, the worst week I think I've had in terms of the result last week and then of course the shocking news that fell in my lap on Wednesday (midfielder Jake Livermore giving a positive test for cocaine). So.... the team, their response today, were magnificent. I couldn't have asked for anything more."
