Intro:
Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal talk after reaching the third round of the Italian Open, on Wednesday (13th May).
Script:
SOUNDBITE: (English) Andy Murray (on whether he felt tired during his match, how his thumb injury is and his decision to play here in Rome?)
"Yes I mean, the thumb was okay. My legs were a bit tired at the beginning and then started to feel better after the first few games. For me, I felt like I played a really good match. He served, I don't know, he didn't serve as well towards the end of the second set but for the first set and a half he was serving like eighty percent first serves. He has a bit serve as well so it was tough for me but I hung in and I felt like I moved pretty well and I didn't give him loads of opportunities after that 3-2 game in the first set. I served well throughout the match and I was happy with the way that I adjusted to the conditions and I felt like I moved well and made it difficult for him to win three points."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Rafael Nadal (on his third round opponent, John Isner)
"Well we don't have to look that far (back) like 2011. I played against john a few weeks ago in Monte Carlo, playing three sets and obviously the serve is a bit challenge. His serve is big and he has a very good continuation with his forehand. So it is difficult to play against him because at the end of the day you don't have a lot of control over things that are going to happen because if he serves well, then you are in big trouble for sure. The only think that I have to do that is in my hands is to be very focussed with my serve, try to play with no mistakes when I am serving, and try to create any opportunities on the return."
