"I'm just thinking about tomorrow at the moment. It's going to be a tough ascent in Abetone and I need to go home tonight and do my homework and really learn this climb and try to put in the best performance possible."

"We don't want to control the race all day, every day. But we want to keep the jersey so to do this we continue to put guys in the breakaway, that way the best form of defence is attacking. And the thing is, when teams see us putting our GC guys in the breakaway they get a sniff that maybe it could be a successful breakaway and they start to put guys in there too and we saw that's what happened today."
