"It means a lot for sure. I didn't expect this from the beginning of this week when I played really tough matches from the first two rounds and three sets. So for me, it's been an amazing week for me for sure. I beat the world number one yesterday and beat Svetlana who is a great player on clay, today, so for me it is really special and I am really glad that I was able to do it."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Petra Kvitova (Q: Svetlana Kuznetsova didn't seem to be at her best today. Did that make it hard to stay focussed and close out the match?)

"Yes I am very happy for it. The way that I played was really good and I played really aggressively which I know I have to because I didn't play that well in the French Open (2014) and I lost to her so I knew that I would have to do something a little bit different today and she didn't look on her best. I think that she really struggled a little bit but that's tennis unfortunately and she had a great run here and it was a great week for her."

"Of course the French Open is the goal right now. I will do everything that I can there and be ready for it for sure. I am looking forward to it. I know that I can play good tennis on the clay but it's important and I need this kind of confidence and yes, I will do my best."

"It's great. It's the start of the clay court season and I really enjoyed the game. I feel like I am doing great and it gives me a lot of confidence especially when I have not been in big event finals for a while."

"Yes I am a little bit tired to be behind (tired of being further down the rankings) so I'm really happy to be in the top 20 and hope to keep rising my rankings just to be a little bit stable and play better in tournaments."
