"Yeah, I think that's what this course is all about, it's about staying patient. There's a lot of pars on my card, but I was able to pick off a couple of birdie and a nice eagle on 16, so pleased with the start. I felt conditions got quite tricky out there at the end with the wind, it swirls a lot around here, and made club selection a little bit more difficult. But happy with that."

"Yeah, I think I was really happy with how I didn't let anyone -- I didn't give any holes away last week (win at the WGC Match Play). I made a few bogeys, but I didn't -- like out there I only made one bogey. Being able to limit your mistakes and make pars and not make many mistakes, that's something I need to do around this golf course and I've got off to a decent start doing that today."

"Well, geez, I got hammered on that wind there (on the 17th hole). That tee shot flag just went, laid down. I got a big gust, and you see the water just -- my ball, actually started the ball out to the right trying to hit a flat draw, and it just got smoked. I thought it was -- when I hit it, I knew I was past the hole up on the ridge. Hopefully it would come back. Then, as it got hammered, this may not get there, and then it ended up being on land. Only decision I had to make is, the ball's going to bounce either way, because it's on an upslope up against the collar, so do I hit sand wedge, blade it, or do I take a putter and toe it. And I just went with sand wedge."
