"The fact is that any new allegations-and I say new allegations-out to be investigated by any organisation be it FIFA, or be it any other sport, if there is new allegations of corruption. I don't know if there's any new allegations in it. If there are, clearly the organisations that are responsible out to at least take some initial investigative action."

"Right now football is facing a match-fixing crisis, a crisis of credibility with its fans. Let's address that instead of dredging up all this nonsense about Qatar all the time."

"This is about morality. This is about a moral imperative here. Delroy Facey has been convicted and sentenced to prison. Now whether he appeals or not is another matter, but this is indicative of the problem in football today. We are seeing football players, referees, and even low-level administrators charged with corruption and offences in football. Football is not the only sport effected, but it's the most corrupted sport in the world today. We have to address this at the top level. It is not an issue of arresting a few players like Delroy Facey, it is a cultural issue here. Something must be done to correct this permissive attitude within football that allows for this to manifest itself. You know we have a really major problem, a crisis if you like, with match fixing and corruption in the field of play."

SOUNDBITE (English) Chris Eaton, director of sport integrity at the International Centre for Sporty Security,

"You cannot have a range of efforts in say England, a range of efforts in Jordan, that aren't matched up. This is a global crime committed by global criminals. It needs global standards, it needs football to join up, it needs FIFA to stand up, it needs the confederations to join with FIFA and not fight with FIFA over minor issues here. It needs a concerted effort."

SOUNDBITE (English) Chris Eaton, director of sport integrity at the International Centre for Sporty Security,

"This is a cultural problem. These are indicators of the cultural problem. Let's use them as indicators, spurs to change the institution of football to make it more robust, more protected
