Russian Premier League leaders Zenit St Petersburg travelled to face Spartak Moscow on Saturday hoping for a win to edge closer to the title.

The best opening of the first half fell to Zenit's Danny but his effort was blocked by Spartak goalkeeper Artem Rebrov.

And things took a turn for the worse for the visitors early in the second half.

The hosts taking the lead when Romulo rose well to head home after a corner on the right.

Zenit but found a way to avoid defeat late on.

As the clock ticked over into the 90th minute, Brazilian striker Hulk slammed the ball home with a massively powerful left foot strike into the roof of the net.

The last minute goal giving his side a point.

Zenit are now nine points ahead of second-place Krasnodar, who play their game in hand on Monday.
