Manager reaction after West Brom beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

    Script:

    1. SOUNDBITE (English) Louis van Gaal, Manchester United manager:

"They parked the bus and then it is always difficult to attack because you have a lot of bodies in front of you, less time and it’s not so easy. But nevertheless we created enough chances to score and we didn't give a lot away."

    2. SOUNDBITE (English) Louis van Gaal, Manchester United manager:

"In football my colleague Jose Mourinho has said it before, it is more difficult to attack than defend and it is not always the attacking team that wins."

    3. SOUNDBITE (English) Louis van Gaal, Manchester United manager (on race for Champions League place):

"It's unlucky but it is the third match in a row that we lost and didn't score so it is now in the hands of my players. We have to work very hard to keep the confidence because we have everything in our own hands. We are four points ahead (of Liverpool and) our goal (to reach the Champions League). But that is now a little bit more difficult than before."

    4. SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Pulis, West Brom manager:

"It's beating United at Old Trafford and any of the four or five top teams in the country when you're where we are at the moment is brilliant and something I'm sure the players will take on board. It's not the first time West Brom having beaten United here so obviously they've gleaned something from last year's result as well. It was a great three points and that's the most important thing."
