Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and his QPR counterpart Chris Ramsey gave their verdicts on Saturday (2nd May) following the Reds' 2-1 win at Anfield.

But obviously, a bit more confident and we might have gone on and won that three or four-nil with the chances we created. But made it tough for ourselves but responded brilliantly once they drew level."

"It's world class talent. There is a very small group of players in that bracket where big games, they score big goals and they make the big contributions. And he's done that, everyone has seen that throughout his entire career at Liverpool. He missed the penalty and sometimes you think it may go against us but there's no one else more determined to score and make up for it than Steven and as I said it was a very good header."

"I thought it was Rafa's agent that was in it.

Question: You just brush that off do you?

Answer: Football is short memories. We sat here last year nearly winning the league and now we've got planes flying overboard. You can't do anything about it. I'm very fortunate and privileged to work here at Liverpool. There have been many names linked here with Liverpool because of the size and the scale of the job that is to be undertaken here. But I am hugely honoured every single day of my life and I will continue to be, however long it lasts."
