21-year-old Swedish rider Stefan Kueng wins stage four of the Tour de Romandie.

    Script:

It was a wet stage four of the Tour de Romandie. 21-year-old Stefan Kueng took part in a breakaway early in the 170-kilometre ride from La Neuveville to Fribourg.

The group had only four riders when Kueng, in his debut season with BMC Racing's top-tier squad, made a decisive move.

Already a world champion on the track, he looks likely to add plenty more titles on the road, the Swede seemed to relish what many might think are nasty conditions.

SOUNDBITE (English) Stefan Kueng, stage winner:

"I had a look at this stage before. I knew from where I attacked I knew it. It was a big advantage and I like the rain, I like the cold. So this morning I was thinking about how could I win or take part in this stage and then I chose the breakaway. I always kept as easy I could and when it was the moment I went. The Director of Sport said wait for the others, but after a while I saw they are not getting closer so I went. And from that moment it was a time trial to the end."

Britain's Chris Froome is well placed for Team Sky overall in third but he couldn't improve on that position here. The overall leader remains Michael Albasini, the Swiss rider came in with the rest of the peloton. Perhaps saving some energy for Saturday's gruelling mountain climb so a peck on the cheek for him and of course one for Friday's King Kueng.
