  • Intro:

Britain's reigning champion Gary Hunt wins the first event of the 2015 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series at Cartagena's Centro de Convenciones in Colombia on Saturday (25th April).

    Script:

The Centro de Convenciones in Cartagena, Colombia was the location for the start of the world's most spectacular events.

The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series never fails to attract an impressive crowd and it's easy to see why.

Camera phones at the ready, spectators were wowed by dives from the 27 metre high board.

Setting aside the pure spectacle of the event, the results continued along a familiar line as fourt-time champion Gary Hunt picked up where he left off last year.

The 30 year-old Briton secured last season's competition and he celebrated his 29th victory in 43 World Series in Colombia.

His dive put him ahead of David Colturi of the USA and home favourite, Orlando Duque who finished in third much to the satisfaction of the 30,000 strong crowd.

The next event in the cliff diving calendar will be in La Rochelle, France on May 17th
