Hull City manager Steve Bruce spoke on Friday (24th April) about being in a five-way relegation battle, and the future of the club if they are in the Championship next season

SOUNDBITE (English) Steve Bruce, Hull City manager (on getting enough points to stay up):

"If we thought 28 points was going to be enough to stay in the division then we're far mistaken. I've said repeatedly, there's a certain level of points you have to get to, whether it's 34, 35, 36. What I do know is that we still need a couple of results. So it doesn't really matter what teams do around you, you've got to really get the points on the board if you possibly can. And no doubt at all we could do with a result to get us started again. We've got six games to play. We've got four of them, after tomorrow four out of five are going to be at home, I think that's critical."

SOUNDBITE (English) Steve Bruce, Hull City manager (on three out of the bottom five teams getting relegated)

"I think the five teams are in it now. A couple of weeks ago there were six or seven or eight. It was terrific when there were so many involved. I think it's between the five clubs that are at the bottom and we've got to make sure we're not one of the three that unfortunately slips out of the league."
