  • Intro:

Post-game sound after the San Antonio Spurs beat the Los Angeles Clippers 111-107 in Game 2 of their first round Western Conference playoff series on Wednesday (22 April) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English): Gregg Popovich, San Antonio Spurs Head Coach(On play of Tim Duncan)

"Tonight he was spectacular. He continues to amaze me in the things that he's able to do. He's just a really committed, competitive guy. He always comes to play and tonight he got some shots to fall and did a great job for us."

SOUNDBITE (English): Doc Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach

"We made a lot of mistakes too, you know, I don't know if we played our best game tonight. I think that was pretty obvious yet we still had a chance. And you can say, you should have won the game, but we didn't. It tells me a lot of things. Number one, this is going to be a hell of a series and we'll be ready for game three."

SOUNDBITE (English): Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers Guard(On what team can take from loss)

"We got to finish. We've been talking about it all season long. We had an opportunity here to win a game, go up 2-0 and we didn't take full advantage of it. And we got to execute down the stretch, that's on me. In overtime we got to defend better. So I got to do a better job of making sure my guy's (are) ready."

SOUNDBITE (English): Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs Forward(On his improved play in game two)

"I just kind of saw where shots were going to be and tried to get those positions and luckily got a bunch attempts from those areas. I was able to make some and guys continued to come to me. I had an awful fourth quarter there but luckily able to redeem myself in the overtime."
