SOUNDBITE: (English) Sam Allardyce, West Ham United manager:

    Q. What did you make of Kouyate's elbow to Silva?

"It looked pretty innocuous to me, I didn't think it was a foul. I just had a look because everyone's talking about it and everybody thinks it's perhaps a more serious attack from Cheikou than it was. It wasn't deliberate, it doesn't look deliberate at all to me."

"I think the disappointing thing, firstly, in the first half, was the goals we gifted to Manchester City, and the second thing was the amount of possession that we allowed ourselves to lose, based on the fact that the worst thing we can do after we've defended well is make individual errors and then allow the opposition to take possession in the first half. So our in-possession (play) wasn't good enough in the first half and the two mistakes we made for the goals were...well, one was pretty bizarre and the other one was unexpected from a player as experienced as Stuart Downing."
