"Yeah I'm really pleased, this is so big for the club. You could the relief in the stands for the fans and on the pitch with the players and the staff. We worked so hard to get here and then you want to go to the final as well and we deserve to go there. And that's great.

"Well, they scored a goal from nothing, we kept on playing and scored a great goal a few minutes later so that brought us back in the game. I had a really good feeling at half-time because we played better than them and we deserved the win. It was great.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Shay Given, Aston Villa goalkeeper:

"Yeah, I'm delighted obviously. Talking about today's game I thought we were the better team and we deserved to go to the final. I'm looking forward to the end of May now yeah."

"Obviously I was here with Manchester City a few years back - we actually won it that day so that's a good omen but I didn't play, as you know. Hopefully, I'll play come the end of May and we can pick up the trophy."

Question: "Birthday celebrations for tonight, for tomorrow?"

Given: "Yeah my family's all over from Ireland and stuff so I'm going to meet up with them and have a few drinks, I suppose. But I'm just delighted for the fans as well and everyone connected to Aston Villa. It's a special day and it's great memories when you get a result when you come to Wembley. Everyone says it's a great day out but it's only a great day out if you get the win. The fans deserve that and we're delighted."
