SOUNDBITE: (English) Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager: on David Silva's serious-looking injury

"It looks serious but we must wait for the diagnosis at the hospital. He's now at the hospital to check his cheekbone (after) what happened to him.

"I always think that a player doesn't want to make damage to another player. I think that the referee was so near that he decided it was unintentional. I also think that it must be unintentional, I don't believe that a player wants to make damage to another player, so nothing more happened.

"I think it was very important for our team to win, because we came from two defeats in a row and always, when one of those is a derby, it's worse. So it was very important to try and be a consistent team and I think that today we played, especially the first 65 minutes until they injured David (Silva), and maybe that made two or three distractions. I think that we played as a consistent team, in the same way where we have played some (consistent) minutes in other games, I think that we played a whole game (that way)."
