    Script:

After wins over India and Malaysia, New Zealand went into their match against Canada in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup full of confidence

But, despite dominating possession, it wasn't until late in the first half that they were able to take the lead.

Pouncing on a loose clearance, the ball was slipped to Blair Hilton who side-stepped three defenders before hitting a powerful reverse stick past Canadian goalkeeper Antoni Kindler.

The second half started in similar fashion to the first with New Zealand attacking, but failing to take their chances.

But after 41 minutes Hugo Inglis managed to scramble the ball into goal from a penalty corner despite the best efforts of Kindler.

That was to be the first of three goals in just four minutes as New Zealand settled the match.

In the 44th minute, Canada's failure to clear their lines saw Simon Child slip the ball into the net.

3-0 to New Zealand and one minute later it was four as Hugo Inglis netted his second goal of the match.

It was already comprehensive, but in the closing stages, with Canada searching for a consolation goal, New Zealand scored from a nice breakaway.

Neal Shay making it 5-0 to New Zealand, who remain unbeaten ahead of their clash against rivals Australia.
